The idea for this series came from observing
leaves when sunlight shines through them. The veins and design of the leaf become clearly visible. Leaves from the same family bear a close resemblance to each other, while the structure of leaves from non related species show clear differences.
All of the leaves shown here have a beautiful lattice structure in them. You may see the same lattice designs in engineering projects where minimum structure for maximum strength is required.
From commencing with the leaves, other subjects are now in my sights and I have tacked a couple on in Gallery Five. More are under way and new pages for these different themes will be for the future of this ongoing project.
My images are printed with Epson printers and Ultrachrome inks. I use this system because of the quality of the reproduction, especially for printing Black and White and also for print longevity.
However anything exposed to direct sunlight will fade.
Please hang my work out of direct sunlight and in a area that is not subject to humidity for the longest print life.
• Unframed prints available
• Large canvas prints are also available.
